Blog updates…and information about the March e-zine

Hi everyone! I thought I’d give you an update on where we are and what’s happening around the blog. Our trip to Liverpool has been amazing and wonderful with loads of walking and talking and visits to the chippie. I’ve eaten my weight in gala pie – pork pie with egg inside – and Monster Munch. I fell in love with Liverpool all over again, the city that shaped my parents and my family is populated by the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, always up for a laugh, always ready to talk religion and politics with absolute strangers they’ve met at the pub or on a train. There’s a warmth and curiosity there I’ve never found anywhere else. I miss it already.

We travelled to London yesterday by train – love trains so much! – and met up with Jane Barber and her parter, Nigel, last evening. We’re spending time today with Nanette and Anja at a lab playing with new ingredients today! I will share our adventures in cosmetic chemistry with you as we have them.

Here’s the bad news: Ding dong, the good but catty witch is dead.* My laptop, Glinda, is no more. The battery is fine, but it is a giant silver paperweight now. Raymond is working on it and is going to the Apple store today to see if there’s anything that can be done, but I think it’s safe to say it’s dead dead.

*”Are you a good witch or a bad witch?” Glinda asks after telling Dorothy that bad witches are ugly. As if she wasn’t already having a bad day with the whole house flying through a tornado and having to deal with threats of losing her dog, Glinda decides to insult her looks?

I saved the ezine in the cloud, but it’s hard to format it on my iPad. As well, I can’t really format more than basic blog posts on my devices, doing things like adding links and such, which is infuriating. Raymond is working on finding ways around these issues.

The internet is also pretty terrible where we are. It cuts out every few minutes. Argh!

For my $10 subscribers, you will get my new ezine on ECO facial care products, which includes new formulas for cleansing grains and eco-glitter gel, as well as formulas for a new foaming cleanser, a few moisturizers with lovely cosmeceuticals, and toner that you can modify into a gel, targeted treatment gel, clay mask, and exfoliating mask. If you are a subscriber of the blog this month – up to midnight Pacific time – Raymond has gathered your name and email address up into his database so when we can issue the ezine, you’ll be eligible for the code to use in the shop to get it free as part of your subscription. It may not be ready until we get back on April 10th, but you will get one!

Thank you so much for your patience. I’m trying not to freak out about this – my normal response to having a very expensive and necessary piece of equipment fail after lugging it halfway around the world – and I hope this solution works for everyone.

I have posts I’ll sharing. They may not be pretty with links and piccies and such, but they’ll still be full of my usual ramblings and nonsense. ?

TL;DR The ezine will be late as my laptop is dead. I’ll still be writing posts.
