Woo hoo! A new formula directory? And helpful hints on how to find formulas on the blog

Oh wow! The Boxing Day fairy* visited the blog and left us the most amazing gift – Our new formula directory! It’s still a work in progress as she adds more every day. So far, we have all the formulas listed for 2009 to 2013, and loads from 2014 to 2019.

If you’re a $3 or higher subscriber, you can find it under the tab “resources” in the menu as the first entry. You can scroll down by date, or you can search by using the “find” function on your device or computer if you want something specific.

*Also known as our daughter and lovely assistant, Emrys, who has been working day and night to create this directory, and we’re so grateful to her.

If you’re looking for formulas, they’re all over the blog!

If you want to find beginners’ formulas for everything from whipped body butters to conditioners to lotions, please visit the beginners’ section of the blog, which you can find here. (It’s always linked under the “resources” tab in the menu.)

If you’re interested in hair care products, you can find them linked in the hair care section of the blog, which is always linked under “resources”, then “ingredients by category”.

If you’re interested in actives, cosmeceuticals, and vitamins, there are some formulas in that section, too.

If you are looking for shampoo bar information, I have a huge post that’s always pinned to the right hand side of the blog (desktop) or at the bottom of the page (mobile) that has all the information you’ll need to get started, including the e-books in which I have formulas and some links for formulas on the blog!

And we have a duplicated formulas directory that hasn’t been updated in a while, but it’s on the to-do list. (Last update, November 2018.)

You can do a search for them. The search bar can be found to the right at the top of the page or at the bottom if you’re on a mobile device. If you’re interested in bubble bath, enter bubble bath into the search bar. You can narrow it down by adding recipe or formula at the end, and I recommend you try one, then the other as I still have many things called “recipes” on this blog, although that’s slowly changing.

Here’s what comes up when I type in bubble bath formula…

I have a huge post you can find in the pinned post section of the blog called how to navigate this blog, which has all kinds of helpful hints on how to find things around here. I’ve been writing this blog for more than 10 years and there are 3,936 posts as of today, so it’s a massive undertaking to catalogue everything I’ve written about or done in that time, but we’re finally making some headway with Emrys’s help!

Happy Boxing Day!
