Formulating Friday: Some updates! Have you been playing along? I’d love to hear from you!

My current bout of spasming arms and fatigue have knocked us off track for this series, and I think we’ll be behind a month in the end. Sorry for this delay, but I’ve learned that if I don’t listen to my body and slow down when it tells me to, I’ll be suffering for it later. It’s taken me how many years to learn that? Sigh…

I figure for November 22nd I’d do the next post on thickening these formulas, then on November 29th I’d share a facial moisturizer formula I’ve created and do a wrap up of what we’ve learned about this emulsifier.

My mascot, SwiftCraftyMonkey, a brown cartoon monkey in a lab coat and goggles, whose arms are up in celebration of the awesomeness of chemistry. To that end, I’d really love to hear from you. I’d love to hear your thoughts about this emulsifier, about the formulas you’ve tried, photos, and all your feedback for this first part of the series using these emulsifiers.

In short, I’d really like this series to be a reflection of what you’re doing with this emulsifier, but I really can’t do that without your input.

I love hearing from you as it gives me an idea of what you’re thinking and what you want to make. It also helps keep me motivated to know people are out there enjoying the series and making things. You’ve probably noticed I have some series on the site that are missing parts because I figured no one cared and I just stopped writing them. It helps me to stay enthusiastic and curious when you share your thoughts with me!

We’ll start with the Sepigel 305 or Sepiplus 400 on December 5, 2025.

If you’re following along and it’s later than November, please still share your thoughts with us so we can make this series even more awesome! You can share them in the comments or by writing to me at swiftcraftymonkey@swiftcraftymonkey.blog. I’d love to hear from you!

Thanks for joining me here on the site and for this series!
