Egg hydrolysate OS

Egg hydrolysate oil soluble – INCI: Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Albumen – from Formulator Sample Shop. It’s another oil soluble protein that we can use at up to 10% as a film former to reduce transepidermal water loss. You can try this neat on your skin and note the sensory characteristics to see where it might fit in the emollient profile of the product. (Note: This product is derived from eggs, so it isn’t considered plant-based or vegan.)

I find it to be more a low/slow to medium low emollient, the viscosity more like olive oil than a light ester, but you might have some different thoughts about it.
