Point of Interest

The home of SwiftCraftyMonkey! Join Susan as she obsesses about cosmetic chemistry and other things (some possibly related to monkeys). Often strange, occasionally useful, and always worth a stop as a point of interest on your journey through the Intertron.

Euxyl K 703

Euxyl K 703 (INCI:Phenoxyethanol (and) Benzoic Acid (and) Dehydroacetic Acid) is considered a replacement for Optiphen ND, which has the same INCI. (Optiphen ND) It’s a broad spectrum preservative that we can add at 0.4% to 1.2% to the cool down phase of the product at 40˚C or lower. It’s suitable at those usage rates for both leave-on or rinse off products.
