FISION® Instant Lift (INCI: Water, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Acacia Senegal Gum, Xanthan Gum) is an active for facial products that’ll make your skin feel firmer and “lifted”.
If you’ve seen ads for products that promise to firm and lift your skin instantly when you use them, they’re probably using this ingredient or Pepha-Tight®️ CB. As it dries, it creates it creates a film that tightens to make skin appear smoother.
The hydrolyzed soy protein hydrates skin by forming a film, too.
Because it has a slightly negative (anionic) charge, you might not want to use it with cationic ingredients, like BTMS-50 or BTMS-25.
It’s compatible with AHAs, but make sure you’re checking the pH as you work with it because it needs to be in the 4.0 to 7.0 range
Purpose: Reduces the appearance of wrinkles, reduces skin roughness, provides a feeling of tightness.
Suggested usage: 5% in the cool down phase of lotions or in the final phase of a cold process gel. Add at 40˚C (104˚F) or lower, after the emulsion has formed.
pH range of final product: 4.0 to 7.0
Solubility: Water soluble
Suitable for facial products that contain a water phase. It may cause a loss in viscosity of some gels or cold emulsifiers when added.
Shelf life: Up to 24 months when stored in a cool, dark space
