Holy cow, did 2025 go by fast! I feel like I’m not ready for September and it’s January 2026!
Wow, this year was a super productive and creative year for me. I did the stats – okay, I don’t hate spreadsheets as much as I used to – and I shared 678,225 words between the site and the e-books. If that were a novel, it would be 1507 pages!
That’s not including all the first drafts, edits, research, and written words for the year. I wonder why my arms are sore? Hmm…
⚛️ I shared 201 posts and 358,924 words here on the site, with an average of 1785.7 words per post. That would take you almost 24 hours to read every word I’ve shared over the year. Holy cow!
That’s up from 148 posts – 148,384 words – with an average of 1007 words per post in 2024. It would have taken you 9 hours and 53 minutes to read that from start to finish.
My posts are getting much much larger, with some, like the apricot kernel oil profile I shared the other day at 4853 words.
⚛️ The e-books are getting bigger – far too big, I think, which is something I have to think about for the coming year. The average was 35,478 words per e-book, which is a lot. I don’t think I had one under 100 pages, which is pretty huge.
Check out this spreadsheet! (And thank you iron and estrogen for all the extra energy in 2025!)

We had a word count of about 3.5 million words on just the site in late 2023. In 2024 and 2025, I wrote another 507,308 words, for a total of around 4,007,308 words. That would take you 267 hours to read from start to finish. Wow!
What’s coming up next?
I’m going through my formulation books to see what I haven’t shared with you yet. Holy cow, I have so many new ingredients, so many new formulas, and new products that I think you’ll like!
It’s hard to know where to start, to be honest. There are just so many interesting things going on!
I’ll be starting up the Chemistry Thursday series/course on Thursday, January 8, 2026, and we’ll get back into triglycerides and packing.
We’ll start the cold process emulsifier series/course on Friday, January 9, 2026, with the next planned emulsifiers, Sepigel 305 or Sepiplus 400. This means we’re two months late on the schedule, but we’ll just keep going until we finish all of the first batch of cold process emulsifiers I suggested you buy.
Yep, we’re two months late. Sorry! You had some great questions about this emulsifier, and I had to set up the entire series so we can refer back to it for all the emulsifiers.
Do you want a Zoom workshop on the first cold process emulsifiers, SEPILIFE™ NUDE and SIMULGEL™️ EG, and the new ones, Sepigel 305 and Sepiplus 400? Share your thoughts in the comments or email me at swiftcraftymonkey@swiftcraftymonkey.blog. You can also comment on my Instagram account, DM me there, or comment on my Facebook page.
I was thinking Sunday, January 11, 2026, at either 11 am or 1 pm for the Zoom workshop.
I also want to do one on making liquid shampoo and shampoo bars in February, if there’s any interest. If so, please comment or message me at swiftcraftymonkey@swiftcraftymonkey.blog.
I think that’s it for now. I’m spending the next day or two working on posts for January along with my mega-huge oil encyclopedia, which so far has at least 77 liquid oils and all the butters. Wow!
Are you making any resolutions this year? What do you hope to do in this new year?
