We’re farmers now! Okay, it’s only three celery plants and three – no, wait, there’s four now – green bean plants, but it’s a start. I’m finally living my Harvest Moon – Animal Crossing farming dream! 🐮
Raymond and I are still having some pain issues after our car accident in March, during which I sprained my shoulder, one of the things that kept me from finishing the May e-book in time. Argh!
What do I have planned this month?
I know we’ll be taking a look at Montanov™ L (INCI: C14-22 alcohols (and) C12-20 alkyl glucosides), a naturally compliant emulsifier we met way back in an e- book in 2022 that we’ll enjoy this summer. The post is almost ready, and we’ll have at least one sample formula for you try.
🧴 I’m working writing up my duplication for Brazilian Bum Bum cream. I’ve made two versions – one that uses all the same ingredients, one that uses a different emulsifier altogether – so we’ll see which we like better.
We’re continuing our Chemistry Thursday beginners’ chemistry course, which I’m having a blast writing! This month, it’s mostly about acids – fatty acids, citric acid, glycolic acid, tartaric acid, AHAs, and more! Woo hoo!

Anyone interested in a cosmetic chemistry coffee klatch? I’d love to offer one in June or plan something for July, August, and September – somewhere outdoors in Chilliwack or Abbotsford, BC. I thought I could bring loads of fragrance oils to try or some product samples I’ve been working on or we could even do a short class with formulas that don’t require huge electrical machines
