Stearic acid

Stearic acid is a saturated, long chain fatty acid with 18 carbon molecules that works as a thickener for oil soluble ingredients in lotions and anhydrous products. It has a melting point of 69.6˚C. It has more drag than other thickeners, and requires more effort when spreading the product on your skin.
