Updates around the blog for September 23!

Hello, everyone! Hope you’re having a great start to your autumn or spring, depending on the hemisphere. Little Sasja was enjoying the warm weather earlier this week, and spent the afternoon ripping up a foam pillow and looking adorable, hence the photo at the top of this post.

I haven’t been posting much this month as I’ve been suffering from some spasms and such in my hands and arms, which has made it really painful to type, hold a pen, or peck out more than a few lines here and there on my iPad. The good news is that it’s getting better and I’ve been finding different ways to write with less pain – I’m using a mouse again, first time in probably 10 years, as the trackpad isn’t great for me – but my time is super limited to a few hours, rather than my normal working schedule, which is so frustrating, but I’m learning to be patient and accept it.

As an aside, I have tried dictation, but the words don’t exist as words when they’re in my head, and it was weird and awkward and didn’t work as I couldn’t just get into the flow of things as every other word was misspelled. I have been practicing with it, but I don’t think it’s going to be a good option, just a necessary one for the future.

More good news – there will be an e-book for the month for $10 subscribers all about making oily gels – scrubs, balms, make-up removers, and more! Thank you for your patience as I work out how to make this new way of writing work. I hope to have it out on the 28th, fingers crossed!

I’m sorry for the lack of posts – I have a few hundred posts written as drafts or in Pages documents or Notes notes, but they all require some kind of updates, edits, links, photos, and such, and I’m the only one who can do most of that. The good news is that there are 4,424 posts and formulas on this blog, so it’s not like there isn’t content to keep you busy until I can share more!

Thanks again for your patience and kindness. I’ve received nothing but lovely support from you, my wonderful readers, and I’m so grateful that you’ve chosen to subscribe to the blog and enjoy this exciting adventure of formulating products!
