Oh wow! 25,902 words and 74 pages long, this e-zine is all about hydrocolloids, natural and modified starches and gums we use as rheology modifiers to thicken or gel so many products, including lotions, surfactant based cleansers, and facial products.

This is the first e-zine of a series on rheology modifiers in which we’ll learn what rheology modifiers are, then learn about this specific category that includes Xanthan Gum, guar gum, locust bean gum, carrageenan, gellan gum, and so many more, including mixtures like Siligel and Solagum AX. We’ll take a look at what they do in our products, then create a few formulas including a lotion and thickened body wash and cleanser.

As a bonus, I’m including my new hydrocolloid rheology modifier chart with the download of the e-zine as my thanks for supporting the blog this year!
